June, Scoliosis Awareness Month

In many countries June is Scoliosis Awareness Month. Scoliosis is a condition in which a person's vertebral column gets a "S" or "?" shape. In the majority of the cases this doesn't happen, but it can lead to heart and lung problems and even limit mobility. If it isn't spotted early, surgery might be the only solution. I discovered that I suffered from Scoliosis a few mounths ago (17 years old). Although my case isn't dangerous for my overall health, I spent the last 11 years with an horrible pain in my back which haunts me everyday. As I am not yet candidate for surgery I guess I'll have to handle it, but I would like to contribute to the awareness of this problem, specially for parents, since it's much easier to treat it during childhood.
